I love my Fujifilm X100F everywhere I go.

And until recently, I was using my Fujifilm X100F as my primary travel camera. Then, I discovered the super-affordable X70. And now? I’m torn!

However, I’m not writing my Love-Fest post about the X70, I’m writing a bridge camera comparison. So, where was I? Ah, yes, my dilemma.

You see, I’ve traveled a fair amount, but not much compared to some. So the X70 just isn’t cutting it for me for capturing some amazing landscapes.

So, if the X70 isn’t quite up to the job, then what camera should I bring along?

I’ve been playing around with the Fujifilm X100F and I love it. However, I felt the weight in my backpack and I was carrying a lot of other stuff when traveling.

With that in mind, I thought there had to be some point of compromise between the X70 and the X100F. I looked around and found an excellent bridge camera. So, I bought it. The Fujifilm X-A10.

  • Lightweight
  • Very high quality images

  • Touch screen isn’t very responsive

The Fujifilm FinePix SL1000 is our top pick as the best Fujifilm bridge camera on the market. This camera has a 16.2 megapixel CCD sensor, a Fujinon 4x optical zoom lens with IS (image stabilization), a 3-inch LCD monitor, and a 7-point autofocus system.

This is a great option for those who don’t want to carry around a heavy camera with them. It’s very lightweight (around 10 oz), so it’s easy to bring along on hiking trips or to keep in your glove box or purse. As it’s so light, you may think it’s going to be difficult to hold, but it has a really nice design that makes it very comfortable to hold.

Photos are taken of high quality, with the SL1000 providing excellent image quality in all lighting conditions. If you’re looking for an affordable camera that will allow you to take amazing photos, without the hassle of a complicated menu, this is a great option.

The Fujifilm FinePix S1 features an 16 MP digital sensor, 5x optical zoom lens, 3 inch LCD screen, and 1080p Full HD video recording capabilities. All this is packaged into a handsomely designed body meant to be simple enough for both new photographers and experienced pros.

  • Huge touch-screen
  • Manual control options

The FinePix S9250W takes excellent images with rich detail and vivid color. The camera has easy setup options and offers a huge touch-screen. The camera offers ND Filters, and it also has a manual mode.

The Fujifilm FinePix S9400W is a great camera for beginners and photographers looking for high-quality pictures with lots of features. However, a lot of the available options on the FinePix S9400W are upgrades from the previous S9250W model. It’s therefore recommended to keep an eye out for what’s new in the current line of Fujifilm FinePix S models.

4. Fujifilm FinePix S9900W Digital Camera

Our rating: 6 / 10

  • Small sensor, large sensor, no sensor
  • Relatively fast for a bridge camera

  • The buttons have a cheap, plasticky feel
  • The S9900 has no GPS

The Fujifilm Finepix S9900 is a very good entry-level bridge camera. In spite of its mid-range price, however, it has some pretty attractive features, like the X-Trans CMOS II sensor, 3″ LCD screen, and decent processor. There is also the inclusion of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as Full HD 1080p video recording capability.

The camera is loaded with features, but it’s very easy to use. It has buttons on its right side to adjust aperture, shutter speed, and the ISO setting to either automatic or manual. There is also a program mode. All of this can be done without even having to glance at the LCD screen, where you can review your images. The larger buttons make it even easier.

The 2.7-inch tilting LCD screen is not touch-sensitive, however. Although this camera is really good on most fronts, it makes sense that it lacks a touch-screen. This way, it doesn’t add to its cost or bulkiness.

  • Tiltable screen
  • Full HD Video Recording
  • Also waterproof under a certain depth
  • Quick connectivity including wifi with NFC support and GPS
  • Panorama mode

This camera has an iconic design to be loved by the large group of enthusiasts who love the retro look how Fuji make their camera to look like. It looks very similar to my favorite, my Nikon D3100

The HS50 have a characteristic of an external flash in a retro design, the Fuji HS50 isn’t easy to be noticed if you left it on your bag and also as it’s merely of the weight of an entry-level DSLR.

Its body made so light by using plastic and also has the thickness of a point and shoot camera which make this camera very portable and you can carry it with ease. This camera is light to carry around, best for travel and as I mentioned before, underwater shooting, thanks to its superb underwater ability with a depth capable of going up to 40m and also it produces the phenomenal quality of while you’re underwater shooting.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the best long zoom bridge camera?

The ability to zoom has become essential for capturing photos of far off subjects like wildlife, scenery, or for the budding nature photographer who wants the ability to photograph animals and plants as they go about their day. If you are looking for a bridge camera with a long zoom lens, you have two choices:

  • A point-and-shoot camera with interchangeable lenses
  • A bridge camera that can zoom

Both options have their advantages. Digital SLRs provide a more useful and flexible tool for the technical photographer, but a bridge camera with an impressive zoom range, like the Fuji FinePix above, is also a great choice. Specially designed for photography, you can always count on the quality of Fujifilm cameras. They consistently produce high-quality photos and video.

What is the best bridge camera for birding?

Part of the reason that we recommend a bridge camera over a DSLR or mirrorless camera for birding is because of their relative size and weight. Many cameras made for birding are comparable to a DSLR or mirrorless; however, that quickly changes as the weight of the camera increases.

Bridge cameras are also great because of their lens flexibility. In addition to zoom lenses, many bridge cameras come with other choices. For example, many come with wide angle attachments that bring you closer to the subject without sacrificing quality. This can be a great way to bring the birds into your home, even if you don't have a lot of room to put up bird feeders.

What is the best bridge camera 2019?

A bridge camera is focused on the best balance between a standard DSLR and a pocket camera. It is an excellent compromise for those who want a practical device that offers more flexibility in both photo quality and zoom range than the others.

These devices are a great bridge between compact cameras and an entry level DSLT. They come with a great set of features that allow you take high-quality images and videos. The size and weight of these cameras allow you to carry it with you everywhere you go and capture real moments will ease.

What is the best zoom camera on the market?

Camera manufacturers are always trying to create the best zoom cameras they can and the Fuji XF10 is one of the newest cameras that is turning heads. This 17.6-megapixel camera has a 30x optical zoom lens and Fujinon lens that allows for great close-up shots.

The XF10 also has a 26mm equivalent focal length that is one of the better features. What this means is that the lens is actually cropped when you zoom in on your subject, which allows for sharper zoomed-in shots that don’t lose quality. When you zoom in on an object, the camera takes a crop of the image and interpolates it to create a new pixel. The new pixels can create blur that a cropped lens doesn’t have.

For many people, bridge cameras like the Fujifilm are the favorite because unlike DSLR cameras, they’re relatively easy to use and are much cheaper, which makes them a great option for photography enthusiasts who are starting out in the hobby.

There are many great options to choose from, and it can be hard to make a decision; some of the choices that I will include on this list are some of the best bridge cameras in the market.
